About Our Church

Over 110 years of faithful Gospel witness in the Longhurst community and beyond.

Our Story

North Roxboro Baptist Church was founded in 1916, and much of the church's history and heritage is tied to the Longhurst Cotton Mill. From its earliest days, NRBC has stood as a place of gospel hope and community belonging for the families of the Longhurst community.

By God's grace there has been a faithful gospel witness in this community for over 100 years.

The church has been gathering for worship at our current location since 1980. We are in friendly partnership with the Beulah Baptist Association, The Baptist State Convention of NC, and the Southern Baptist Convention.

Our Mission

We exist to glorify God by gathering on the hill and going into the world to make disciples of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.

What We Believe

These convictions shape everything we do as a church family.

📖

Scripture

The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the final authority for faith and practice.

✝️

Salvation

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Not by works.

🙏

Prayer

Prayer is the lifeblood of the church. We are committed to corporate and personal prayer.

🤝

Covenant Community

We promise to live together in community for spiritual growth and encouragement.

🌍

Missions

The Great Commission compels us to share the gospel locally and support global missions.

🎶

Worship

We gather to glorify God through reverent, Spirit-filled worship in song, Word, and by observing Christ's ordinances as symbolic reminders of His saving work.
